The current building codes for the City of New Orleans, as you know, are part of the series of the International Code Council family of codes. The building (IBC), mechanical (IMC) and the fuel gas (IFGC) 2006 editions, are the current adopted codes being enforced by the City at this time.
For your convenience we present the

International Building Code, 2006 Edition
If you would like to view the City of New Orleans Amendments to the above 2006
codes, go to the city’s website
www.cityofno.com. On the upper bar, click on “Residents”
then curser down to “Safety and Permits”. Follow that link to the
bottom of that page to the shaded “Code Amendments Updated”, and
choose the code amendment (building, mechanical or fuel gas) you desire to
view. Or you can
click here and look at the bottom left of the page for the
“Code Amendments Updated” section.
[Note: Chapter 27 of the building amendments lists the electrical amendments and
Article 135 of the mechanical amendments lists stationary engineer and hoisting
& portable requirements]. At the City’s website you can also check other
functions required for city actions or activities.

desired. You will find it complete, interesting and full of information.
